Minnie’s Food Pantry to receive 6,040 lbs. of apples
PLANO, Texas — Market Street, as part of The United Family, will donate 6,040 pounds of apples to Minnie’s Food Pantry on Wednesday, April 19 at 9:00 a.m. Media members are invited to attend.
Now in its thirteenth year, this donation marks a continuing commitment by The United Family as an original partner of the Take a Bite Out of Hunger™ program, sponsored by FirstFruits Marketing of Washington. FirstFruits created the program to help feed the underserved while also bringing attention to the problem of food insecurity in the United States.
Throughout the week, United Family stores throughout Texas and New Mexico will donate more than 50,000 pounds of apples to various food banks and other organizations.
