ABILENE, Texas — United Supermarkets will present a check to the Hope Center which will be the site of non-profit ministries of First Baptist Church Abilene, on Monday, September 27 at 10:00 a.m.
In 2019, FBC Abilene established the Hope Center in downtown Abilene to relocate and expand their GLO Daycare, Ministry of Counseling and City Lights Ministries. These organizations provide food, culinary training, counseling and affordable daycare for those in need.
Through the generosity of their congregation and community, their goal of $6 million was met. Unfortunately, in 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic quickly changed the landscape of construction costs. To complete this vision, it is going to take even more help from the Abilene community.
This lead donation from United Supermarkets will kick-off phase two of their Give Hope Campaign to complete this project.
