Market Street set to unveil newest Hoof Prints horse in Amarillo

AMARILLO, Texas — On Monday, Market Street unveiled the newest addition to the Hoof Prints of the American Quarter Horse public art display project. The Amarillo Chamber of Commerce joined Market Street representatives for the unveiling and a special ribbon cutting.

Market Street is proud to join with dozens of other local businesses that have supported this community-wide art project over the years.

“We are so excited to expand the Hoof Prints community art project with the addition of our very own horse in front of Market Street,” said Paul Evans, regional vice president for The United Family. “This unique art project gives businesses a great opportunity to celebrate the traditions and history of this community. We hope guests will enjoy seeing it as they enter the store each day.”

The design of this new horse is meant to reflect and honor the beautiful canyon landscape features that make the High Plains one of the most iconic locations in Texas. Specifically, the horse’s art depicts Palo Duro Canyon’s Lighthouse rock formation at sunset. Fittingly, the horse’s color scheme is primarily shades of orange, red, and yellow. It also contains small hints of turquoise on the hooves, tail, and head.
