ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — On Wednesday, Albertsons Market launched a statewide donate-at-the-register fundraiser campaign for Roadrunner Food Bank.
All United Family stores in the state will participate in the fundraiser including Market Street in Santa Fe. The funds raised during this campaign will go to help Road Runner combat food insecurity and hunger across the state of New Mexico. The United Family is proud to help support their mission.
“We are so proud to continue our tradition of support for the Roadrunner Food Bank,” said Travis Chaney, RVP for Albertsons Market/The United Family. “We know just how much these donations mean to the organizations who fight hunger and the families they serve. I am thankful that our team and community have the opportunity to be involved in supporting Roadrunner’s mission.”
“Campaigns like these are a wonderful way the community can get involved in helping solve hunger in our state,” said Mag Strittmatter, President and CEO of Roadrunner Food Bank. “We are honored Albertsons Market is hosting this special fundraising campaign right inside their stores and encouraging the community to take action by donating at the register. Hunger remains a very serious issue in our state, especially for children. The efforts of Albertsons Market this coming month will help Roadrunner Food Bank provides additional meals to people struggling to afford the basic necessities we each need to live life – like food. Thank you Albertsons Market for being our partner and making a difference in our community!”
